Support..."The One You Feed."

A Cherokee legend

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.

"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - inside every other person, too."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Mohala Farms has been planted in the soil of Waialua in order to feed the people of Hawaii. To feed our community with hope, love, strength and truth. We are doing this by building a network of programs based on the lands inherent abundance and life giving qualities.

Our farming activities are generating revenues that help to cover a large portion of our operating costs. This income generating stream is fundamental to our goal of encouraging and supporting a new generation of local organic farmers in Hawaii. Beyond this, though, we envision the farm being a base for a wide variety of educational, cultural, and artistic activities that increase the health and prosperity of both individuals and the broader community.
