HALE BUILDING

OUR Hale Building

Spanning a year of community work days and island wide outings to gather building materials, Hale Mohala was completed in the spring of 2011 and dedicated in a blessing ceremony at the farm on April 21, 2011. Overseeing the entire building project was Kumu Francis "Palani" Sinenci from Hana, Maui - a master builder involved in dozens of Hale building projects across Hawaii and teacher to numerous students in the art of hale building.

Mohala Farms was blessed by Kumu Palani's leadership, by the dedicated involvement of his students and his associates/specialists, and in the wide out pouring of support from community volunteers involved in all stages of the project.

The hale is a a community gathering space dedicated as a place for strengthening our connection to the life giving qualities of the land.
