PHOTOGRAPHERS

Farm Photographers

A number of the photos in this website are from two gifted photographers that have become lasting friends of Mohala Farms.  Vanessa Moutinho, from Brazil, and Yosuke Moriya, from Japan, have both given fully of themselves into our life and work on the farm and are both on their own paths of living more closely attuned with mother earth. We are grateful for their artistic talents, and for bringing to light the life that surrounds us on our journeys.

VANESSA MOUTINHO, Vanessa arrived at Mohala Farms serendipitously, with a large suitcase, trusty camera, and a passion to support local farmers here and in her home country through the use of photography. Vanessa is active with the HUB community in Rio de Janeiro and with Gaia Education out of Findhorn, UK.

YOSUKE MORIYA, Yosuke and his wife, Ariko, have been regular volunteers at Mohala Farms over the last three years and have lent a hand at many of the farm's workdays and community events. Ariko is one of the founders and cooks at Peace Cafe in Honolulu; Yosuke is a TV production coordinator. They have recently bought a small parcel of land on the Big Island and will be starting their own farming operation there soon.
